Matt Hall has over twenty years of experience as a professional illustrator and art director. He was worked for companies such as Dreamworks, Electronic Arts and LucasArts.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

Visual Development Director 2005-Present

Edge of Reality, Austin, TX

  • Developed conceptual illustrations for game content, pitch art and marketing illustration
  • Worked with the art leads to establish a look and feel for two next generation titles, The Incredible Hulk and Cypher Complex

Visual Development Director 2001-2005

Spark Unlimited, Los Angeles, CA

  • Provided Conceptual Illustrations for characters, environments and marketing illustrations for multimedia
  • Worked remotely from Austin, TX and delivered content on a daily basis in collaboration with the studio art director. Titles included Call of Duty: Finest Hour and Turning Point: Fall of Liberty

Art Director April 1996 to September 2002

DreamWorks Interactive/EALA - Los Angeles, CA

  • Served as franchise art director for the Medal Of Honor game series including Medal Of Honor: Frontline
  • Responsibilities included conceptual illustration, character development, texture support, digital matte painting and promotional illustrations for print
  • Work produced for other titles includes Goosebumps, Small Soldiers, Chaos Island, Warpath, Jurassic Park, art direction for Lost World: Jurassic Park and the Congressional Medal of Honor Society website

Art Director June 1994 to April 1996

Lyrick Studios - Allen, TX

  • Served as art director for a three part animated series called Francesco
  • Worked in Austin, TX with Heart of Texas animation studio and provided all background paintings
  • Responsibilities included painting 500 digital backgrounds per year

Freelance Illustrator September 1992 to June 1994

Carthage, MO

  • Produced illustrations for books and other print media.

Creative Director November 1990 to September 1992

HSH Educational Media Company - Las Colinas, TX

  • Art direction for all print and video production
  • Production work consisted of conceptual development and digital background painting for broadcast television
  • Served as illustrator and creative director for all print media and promotional material
